Thailands Most Famous Street Food
What about our name, what is Phad Thai? It’s “stir fried rice noodles Thai style” which has been served by street vendors with wheeled noodle carts throughout Thailand for nearly a century.
In history stir frying and wheat noodles were introduced to Thailand by Chinese immigrants, however, Phad Thai today is distinctively different from Chinese cuisine, due to the dishes uniquely strong balance of salty, sour, sweet & hot flavours, combined with a variety of contrasting textures including chewy, crunchy & crisp in every mouthful.
Our Thai chefs are experienced in maintaining consistency between all these delicate balances. Our flaming woks run in excess of 300 degrees Celsius to give the noodles a distinctly crunchy “char-grilled” texture, while the short cooking time leaves the vegetables crisp. We don’t take shortcuts and leave no ingredients out.
